Rock Creek Bison Ranch

This weekend, we went to Oklahoma. Mom and I had to sort through my Aunt Babette's belongings, as she has been moved out of her apartment and into a skilled nursing facility. That part of the trip was pretty depressing, but we did find some great old family photos and other mementos.

While we were sifting through 40 years of stuff in Norman, the kids went to hang out with Uncle Mike, Aunt Belinda and Heather on their bison ranch in Murray County. They had such a wonderful time! They got to see the bison, including some babies, feed Star the horse some treats (and sit on her!), drive the tractor, and generally wander around unfettered in some wide open spaces. What a fabulous adventure!

Beautiful bison!

Ride 'em, Cowboy!

Look at us!

I'm not sure who was more exhausted at the end of the day!
