Waiting Impatiently

Tracy told me he was scheduled to leave his FOB on Tuesday (yesterday) and he is supposed to be home sometime Monday. I haven't heard from him since Sunday...I am about to go crazy! I just can't help but imagine that something has gone wrong and he wasn't able to get away...he won't get to come home...the not knowing is MADDENING! The worst part is that I haven't told the kids he's coming, just in case, so I can't even share with them why I am so distracted and bothered. My friend at work suggested that maybe Tracy is going to be home early and is trying to surprise me...that would be awesome, but I just can't imagine that happening in the Army world. Just a few more days...
