Boot Camp begins today!
Okay, not really, but Daddy has been saying that all weekend. We tearfully said goodbye to Aunt Kim on Friday and so today marks the first official day of "stay-at-home dad' -ness. Daddy thinks he is going to whip the lil' noggins right into shape - no whining, toys picked up, napping on command. He is very optimistic! This morning they are going on an outing to the neighborhood park. Our latest heatwave pushes the heat index to well above 100 degrees in the afternoon, so outdoor play has to happen before lunch.
Over the weekend, we visited the newly opened Premium Outlets in Round Rock. There is a great selection of stores, and it's only about a half-hour drive from home. Our only complaint is that the food court leaves much to be desired, and there aren't any restaurants nearby (yet). We did spot a very exciting development...an IKEA store is under construction! I haven't lived near an IKEA since 1994 in Virginia, so I am very excited!
Overheard Saturday, while Pook and Bean were cutting "dolly-dolls" from a Nordstrom's magazine:
Pook: "You have to not drop the little pieces on the ground because Egan can choke on them and dogs can choke on them, too, and they will die."
Bean: "But Eli have already died."
Pook: "Yup. That is a true fact."
